THE TOP THREE REASONS CHIROPRACTORS STAY STUCK:

-Failure to adapt and Imagine
-They stay stuck on the last idea, versus focusing on the future.
-They don't own it.

To communicate Chiropractic successfully and efficiently, you must own Chiropractic first.  Adapt, imagine, see it first, and look forward never in the rear view mirror. Reverse these tendencies and you release the brake.

DRJAY Over the weekend I had dinner with a friend I had only recently met. He asked me about pain he was having, and what the doctors were doing.. We discussed the general topic of health , how the body works, self healing and regulating, and Chiropractic. Here is an outline of the discussion. you can use it as a guide any time you are trying to help someone get it.... remember illustrations get the big idea across the plate..

1- the brain is the master control system. just like the power generator on the pole outside your home.
2- Down from the brain is the brain stem, it hangs or extends down a few inches...
3- Below that or next is your spinal cord...
4- out from the spinal cord extends or branches nerve roots and then nerves...
5- to protect this delicate master control system the power of the universe wrapped it in hard bone.
6- the skull is solid bone pretty much
7- the stem and cord are protected with vertebra..
8- vertebra cant be solid or one unit other wise you would not be able to move. you would be rigid
9-so the vertebra are in 24 segments that move and glide on one another.
10- You might liken this system to the fuse box in your home... master power box on the pole, large ele cord to the house, to the fuse box. and smaller wires extent out in the house..and control everything
11- if one of the breakers or fuses trips, the power to the appliance at the end of that electrical wire, goes off, and the appliance goes off.
12- we have all had the experience of a breaker tripping in our homes fuse box and a light go out, or a fridge turn off. etc...
13- your delicate nerves exit between the vertebra.
14- if one of those vertebra turns or locks in a mal or wrong position it pinches the nerve.
15- this causes the organ, or whatever is at the end of that nerve to either shut down or off, or at best not work as well as it could work...just like a flipped breaker.
16- stop here and ask if that makes sense to them?
17- what a chiropractor does is makes sure the vertebra move properly, restore movement and or function to the segment or segments not moving properly interfering or inching the nerves.
18- when that movement is restored, as well as proper alignment, then the exiting nerves also work to their maximum capacity without interference.
19 -this keeps a balance of health, and enables the body to function to full capacity, and full health or potential.
20- the medical solution on the other hand is to introduce a chemical to restore health to the body under the theory that there is a lack of a chemical or chemical imbalance..
21- the challenge is guessing what chemical and how much
22- in addition any chemical added to the body creates another reaction or side effect...
23- there is no side effect to an adjustment or properly moving spine..
24- the medical solution doesn’t really address the cause of the problem, it mostly addresses the symptom of the problem..
25- you might liken it to driving down the road and your car oil light comes on..
26- what would that mean when the light comes on? ASK
27- what would you do when that oil light comes on?
28- would you put dark electrical duct tape over the light and assume you dont need oil?
29 - if not why not?
30- most medicine addresses the symptom, and would be the same as tape over the oil light. it doesn’t correct the cause or the oil light coming on...
31- does that make sense? ASK INTERACT
32- what is the end result or using chemicals to treat disease?
33- in the USA doctor caused is the 4th leading cause of death.. meaning doctors treatment for disease is the 4th leading cause people die..
34- of 43 nations in the world as far as health is concerned, the USA is number 38. that means there are 37 countries in the world healthier than we are. and only 5 worse off..
35- Would you consider that successful? ASK INTERACT?
36- it would mean that our health care system is not working would you agree?
37- based on the difference which system of heath delivery makes sense to you?
38- INTERACT, FIELD QUESTIONS AND OPEN A DISCUSSION....ASK QUESTONS. THEN TAKE IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL ONCE YOU ARE CONVINCED THEY GET IT....
39- Does it make sense for you to be here. getting better and fully functioning nerve flow while the rest your family stays home?

Truth be told, if someone hurts you, chances are, they have been hurt themselves. So do your best to never take anything too personally. Don’t let compliments get to your head and don’t let insults get to your heart. Most people can only give others what they have received themselves. All your actions and words should come from a place of love, but not everyone will be loving in return, and that’s OK. When you do not take anything personally, you liberate yourself. You can open yourself to the world, freely, and not have to worry about the judgments of others.

  1. While modern technology can be life-changing in many beneficial ways, there is an aspect of this technology that greatly interferes with our lives and relationships.  Do not be so addicted to a screen that you miss out on the opportunity to enjoy real life unfolding in front of you.  Learn to disconnect.  Learn to slow down.  Give people your full and undivided attention.  Do not seek mindless stimulation on a screen for no reasons, and refocus on nurturing real human connections.

We sometimes allow the wrong people to take up too much space in our heads and hearts.  We meet energy vampires. These individuals will try to get to you – they will try to influence you and become a part of your life because they find their own life to be mundane.  They already poisoned their own lives and now they are looking to poison yours.  Don’t let them get to you. Avoid them as if they have a DIS-ease.

We all want to achieve success, but we need to remember that success is not a specific achievement. Success is not crossing over some arbitrary finishing line. It’s the ability to fight the good fight day in and day out. Success is strength – the strength to keep pushing and to keep living your life on your own terms. Success isn’t an end result. It’s a state of being. You don’t win success. You are a success every day.

  1. Do not be a constant complainer.  It doesn’t help you and it certainly doesn’t help your relationships.  If you do not like your current situation, work towards changing it, but don’t just sit around complaining about it.  Complaining will only make others nearby not want to be around you.  Be someone that looks at the positive aspects of situations.  And if you do find a problem that needs to be addressed, be someone that suggests a solution.  The bottom line is that you will never get to where you want to be by complaining about where you are now.  Each step in your life is preparing you for the one that comes after it.

An interesting thing happened the other day that I want to share with you.  Within an hour of each other I received telephone calls from two doctors I work with as their coach.  They practice a few  miles apart in the same city.  One doctor couldn't wait to share GREAT NEWS with me.  Seems he had just completed his biggest day in  four years of private practice .   His  numbers have been climbing.   The other call was not that pleasant.  That doctor was depressed with his numbers which haven't seen significant growth.   He told me he was so discouraged that he was even considering working nights and weekends selling furniture or something like that.

The doc with the growing practice raved stating that "all he was doing was what he had learned."  He went on to say that he  was doing everything "EXACTLY THE WAY IT WAS PRESCRIBED.” He told me about his  ENTHUSIASTIC CA's and about their EXCITEMENT OVER THE PRACTICE. In addition to experiencing the opportunity to HELP MORE PEOPLE GET WELL AND STAY HEALTHY, The two CA'S will now reach their BONUS LEVEL for the third straight month. You have to admit, that is a lot to be happy about!

Now to the other Doc.  I reviewed with him several things that we had earlier agreed were needed to move him forward and guess what,  he still hasn't done them. Has replaced his front desk CA twice since the first of the year and he is collecting only about 65% for services provided.    There's more, the doctor is still not doing much of anything, is not making long term recommendations on a regular basis  and has had only one referral this month.   Is this one hard to figure out, or what? NOT J

I am always frustrated to hear of any doctor that is struggling but It is even more frustrating to realize it doesn't have to be that way. EVERYTHING THAT IS AVAILABLE TO DOCTOR NUMBER ONE IS EQUALLY AVAILABLE TO DOCTOR NUMBER TWO.  Could it be a bad attitude, loss of focus or purpose or could it be that deep down inside this one person wants it more than the other?   What I teach you is not based in theory but rather in actual day to day application in every economic environment.  SIMPLY PUT, IT WORKS!!!!   Hopefully you identify with Doctor number one....
Life is change.  Everyone has gone through something that has changed them in a way that prevents them from being the same person they once were.  This is a very good thing, as long as you keep learning and stretching yourself, change is growth.

Sometimes you have to accept the fact that things will never go back to how they used to be, and that this ending is really a new beginning.

People who have the greatest potential for renewed happiness seem to have specific “aha” moments that totally change the trajectory of their thoughts and behaviors.  Once this “aha” light bulb goes off in their minds, they awaken to a new reality that motivates them to never go back to their old way of doing things.

In short, these “aha” moments mean they got it.  Whatever it was they were doing or thinking that was holding them back, is now a lesson learned and a thing of the past.

  1. Nothing is ever as bad as it seems.  Nothing!  There is a benefit and a blessing hidden in the folds of every experience and every outcome.  Consider the possibility that the little obstacles in your life’s path are not obstacles at all, but stepping-stones to amazing places.

DAY TWO BASICS FOR REVIEW

1- Your CA give the patient a warm and inviting greeting on the second day when entering. Double handed handshake.
2- CA guides  patient to the report of findings room.
3- Report of findings room is the nicest, most professional room in your clinic. It’s a WOW room.

13- CA reviews all forms, has them signed, copies to patient, and files the forms in patients file.
14- Front desk ca gives patient their mult appointment card, and pre schedules at least 12 visits in advance.  (note, these 12 visits are not the entire recommendations the doctor gave the patient, the CA is simply  pre scheduling the first 12 visits in advance.)

15- Front desk CA makes not in the appointment book when the 12th visit is scheduled, so that the second set of  mult appointment cards can be given on that day.
16- Health care class is scheduled with the patient, this is given preferably within 3 days of the first visit.
17- CA gives patient warm send off.
18-  Doctor calls the patient at the end of the day, to see how the new patient is doing after their first adjustment.

  1. Every success has a trail of failures behind it, and every failure is leading toward success.  Oftentimes our greatest insight comes from our failure, not from our accomplishments.  It’s a matter of taking each lesson and stepping forward with it.  At the end of the day, whether you choose to go with it, flow with it, resist it, change it, or hide from it, life goes on.  If what you did today didn’t turn out as you hoped, tomorrow is a new opportunity try again, or to do something totally different.  What’s important is to realize that you have a choice.

Tuesday, August 5, 2014

  1. Never let your past dictate who you are today, but let it be a lesson that’s part of who you will become tomorrow.  No regrets.  No looking back in anger.  Just hold on to life and move forward.  We have no way of knowing what lies ahead, but that’s what makes the journey even more exciting – that’s what makes life worth living today.  Happy people know this, and that’s precisely why they make the most of the present.

Monday, August 4, 2014

The happiest people do not live with a certain set of circumstances, but rather with a certain set of attitudes.  They have the ability to manufacture their own optimism.  People who think optimistically see the world as a place packed with endless opportunities, especially in trying times.

Happy, successful people are often successful in the long run for one simple reason: they think about success and failure differently.  They don’t take everything that goes wrong personally, and they don’t get a big head when everything goes right either.  Follow in their footsteps.  Be a humble, life-long learner.  Never let success get to your head and never let failure get to your heart.

How you respond to the hard times is what shapes your character.  Remember, you become what you believe.  Look at things objectively.  Find the lesson and move forward.  Don’t let a hard lesson harden your heart for too long nor stop your pursuit of success for one moment!
  1. Gratitude is arguably the king of happiness.  What’s the research say?  Can’t be any more clear than Dr. Sonja Lyubomirsky’s insight in The How of Happiness: “…the more a person is inclined to gratitude, the less likely he or she is to be depressed, anxious, lonely, envious, or neurotic.”  Bottom line:  Consider how very fortunate you are.  Consider it every day.  The more you count your blessings, the more blessings there will be to count, and the happier you will be.
